May TBR

This month’s selection was from the 6th shelf of authors with a last name of T. It was a little tricky because there were mostly books by Adriana Trigiani. While I am not familiar with her the fact that there are 15 books written by her on the shelf I have to assume she is a well-known author. I decided to go with a historical fiction pick. This month’s Random Read is The Hidden Thread by Liz Trenow.

From Goodreads:

When Anna Butterfield’s mother dies, she’s sent to live with her uncle, a silk merchant in London, to make a good match and provide for her father and sister. There, she meets Henri, a French immigrant, and apprentice hoping to become a master weaver. But Henri, born into a lower class, becomes embroiled in the silk riots that break out as weavers protest for a fair wage.

I will have my review for you at the end of the month. I have avoided reading anyone else’s reviews on Goodreads and Storygraph and haven’t looked into the author. I like going into these reads completely blind and open to the story.

The other books in the photo are the rest of my hopefuls for May. I have really been looking forward to Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo and I have this fantastic Illumicrate edition. I am also planning on reading my Book of the Month pick from April Romantic Comedy by Curtis Sittenfeld. Finally, there is Stuart Little (that choice will be explained in a future post so stay tuned!).
